When preparing for the exam, you can choose several tactics – the main thing is to take into account knowledge of the subject, format, exam criteria, and also adequately assess your level of study skills. This was announced on February 2 to Izvestia by the head of the methodological development of educational programs at MAXIMUM Education, Artem Mushta.
According to him, the format and criteria of the exam is something that can be learned fairly quickly. Even if you start preparing now, when there are essentially four months left before the exam, this time will be enough if the student has a strong base and knowledge of the subject.
Such express training is also suitable for schoolchildren who, until now, have been studying on their own, and in the remaining months of study they plan to prepare with a teacher, the expert explained. So, together with a teacher, in a relatively short period of time, you can successfully improve the skill of completing tasks with a detailed answer – for some graduates without feedback, this part of the preparation is difficult.
“Traditionally, two years is considered the most optimal period of preparation, that is, you need to start actively studying from the tenth grade. During this time, you can prepare well, and even students with a low and average level of knowledge can qualify for participation in the Olympiads by the finals of the second year of classes. Perhaps, such an early approach most guarantees the possibility of passing exams with 80+ points, ”explained Mushta.
However, according to him, after two years of additional classes, along with the main ones, there is a high probability that the child will get tired. Therefore, in each case, it is worth considering the motivation and abilities of the student. Also, when choosing such a strategy, you will have to decide in advance on the specialty at the university and an approximate list of subjects that will need to be studied, the expert notes.
In addition, Mushta explained that the main thing for achieving high results in the exam is how the preparation time correlates with the level of knowledge of each individual student.
“In order to determine the time for preparing for the Unified State Examination, it is important to understand what style of learning suits the child, how independent, intensive pace of classes invigorates him or leads him to confusion. And you should definitely go through the diagnostics of knowledge specifically for the level of readiness for the exam, since in general school grades do not always reflect the picture. It is not uncommon for excellent students not to score even 60 points in diagnostics,” the expert concluded.
On December 15, 2022, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation approved the main stage of the Unified State Examination in 2023 from May 26 to June 20.
In September of the same year, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation approved the minimum USE scores for admission to universities for the 2023/24 academic year in basic general subjects. So, in Russian language, literature and geography, the minimum score will be 40, in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology – 39, in history – 35, in a foreign language – 30. In addition, in social science the minimum score will be 45, in computer science – 44 .
