Just a dozen or so months ago, we all feared for the life of this speedway rider. Adrian Miedziński had a terrible crash in Zielona Góra during the play-off semi-final in the 1st League. He caught up with Max Fricke and hit the gang. Initially, it seemed that the situation of the Falubaz player would be much more serious, but Miedziński was less lucky. He suffered a brain injury, was put into a coma, and doctors fought for his life. There were many indications that his career was definitely over, but Adrian miraculously recovered quickly and a few weeks later he appeared at the PGE Ekstraliga gala.

He also returned to the track, but he wasn’t himself. He was taken by Unia Leszno, which had terrible personnel problems, but Miedziński clearly went to the other extreme, which was noticed even by his rivals in private conversations. From a risk-taker, he became a very cautious player, which is impossible in speedway. Therefore, no one was surprised by the rumors about the possible end of his career, which allegedly came from Miedziński himself. However, it seems that something has changed.

Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz announced that it had signed a Warsaw contract with Miedziński. This means that it has no financial or starting guarantees. There are many indications that the former team world champion and winner of the GP tournament in Toruń wants to continue fighting for his career. He will probably look for another club in the spring, because in Bydgoszcz he doesn’t have much chance to fight for the team. But already in the 2nd League he could attract interest from clubs.

What probably counted most on Miedziński’s dismissal was his closest relatives, who wanted a bit of peace due to extreme stress in the past. Adrian is the type who never gave up and that’s mainly why he was involved in accidents so often (over 150 in his career). If he continues his career, there will be fear for him again. And this is even if the old, daring Miedziński does not come back.
