The “Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports” continues to receive the nomination files for its seventh edition, which was announced last June, provided that the arbitration committee begins sorting the files after the nomination door closes on August 31.
The award is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (Mother of the Emirates), and with the support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy and President of the Club. Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club, organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The winners of the seventh edition of the award will be announced at a huge ceremony on the 15th of November in Abu Dhabi.
The total prizes for the seventh edition of the award amount to one million and 800 thousand dirhams, which are distributed to 11 categories for the individual and collective levels (the level of sports federations and institutions).
The individual level awards include the category of Best Arab Female Athlete, with a prize of 500,000 dirhams, Best Emirati Athlete, with a prize of 300,000 dirhams, Best Young Athlete, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams, Best Paralympic Athlete, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams, Best Coach and Trainer, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams, and Best Female Athlete, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams. A sports reporter with a prize of 100,000 dirhams, the best sports mother introduced by the Academy in the new version, in appreciation of the role of mothers in the march of heroic girls, and her prize is 100,000 dirhams.
As for the award categories at the level of sports federations and institutions, they include the category for the best program for the development of young women, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams, the category of the best team, with a prize of 300,000 dirhams, and the best creative initiative, with a prize of 100,000 dirhams.
