The Emirati boat Fazza 3, led by Aref Al-Zafin and Nader bin Hindi, was crowned champion of the main race for the first round of the UAE Powerboat Championship, category three, which concluded yesterday on a breakwater in the capital, Abu Dhabi, after standing in first place and leading the race for 13 hours. The competition was organized in its first round by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Marine Sports Federation. The race competitions were exciting, with the Abu Dhabi 4 boat, led by Faleh Al Mansouri and Sean Torrente, crashing in the middle of the race, after he was in second place, while the Abu Dhabi 5 boat, led by Majid Al Mansouri and Rashid Al Tayer, broke down in the last quarter of the competition, after he was in third place, to go to the title. This round is for “Fazza” well deserved, after a great level presented throughout the competition, and the race track that extended on the Abu Dhabi Corniche and Lulu Island started at exactly four o’clock in the afternoon, and lasted for about an hour, at the end of which the Fazza boat succeeded in winning the title of the first round of the ancient championship and classic. The winners were honored at the end by Salem Al-Rumaithi, General Manager of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, Ali Bin Ghalaita, General Supervisor of the Race, and Nasser Al-Dhaheri, Head of the Modern Racing Department at the Club.
