Mobilization in Ukraine is carried out according to the principle “they take everyone in a row”, and nothing will stop war criminals in power. On January 26, Senator Andrei Klimov told Izvestiya.
This is how he reacted to the news about the cruel methods by which the Transcarpathian Hungarians are taken into the Ukrainian army. The dissatisfaction of Budapest was voiced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto.
“[При мобилизации] we are talking about citizens of Ukraine living in Ukraine, and now they take everyone in a row and do not look: Hungarians, not Hungarians – whoever they find, they take. It is clear that the Hungarian government is concerned, but I am afraid that this will not stop these rowdy war criminals. They have nothing sacred, ”Klimov believes.
According to him, in this situation, everything can end very badly.
On January 24, the Metropol newspaper reported that the Ukrainian authorities were hiding the bodies of hundreds of dead soldiers on the border with Hungary. The corpses of the military were found in refrigerator cars near the border with Hungary, some of them have been there for more than two weeks.
Earlier, on January 19, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, said that mass raids and forced mobilization were taking place in the Kyiv-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region. According to him, combat groups of the military and police block the Cossacks driving directly on the road, hand them a summons, pull them out of the car and send them to the front.
At the same time, a new wave of mobilization in Ukraine was not officially announced. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny said in early December that there were enough people, “hundreds of thousands more are not needed.” According to him, for success on the battlefield, the Ukrainian army does not need new soldiers, but additional equipment. However, on January 9, footage appeared on the Web in which Ukrainians of draft age were handed subpoenas in crowded places.
Martial law in Ukraine was introduced on February 24. On November 16, the period of martial law and general mobilization was once again extended for 90 days, until February 19.
The special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
