The filly “Ivoire Eur”, owned by owner and trainer Anthony Lopez, and driven by Sammy Le Coelho, won the title of the Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup race for purebred Arabian horses at the age of over four years.
The race was held the day before yesterday at the Bordeaux-Le Bouscat racetrack in France, under the sponsorship of the 16th edition of the “His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing” festival.
The 1,600-meter race witnessed the participation of nine purebred Arabian horses, and came strong to compete for the title, and “Ivoire et Or” was able to advance to the lead in the last 200 meters to the end of the race, with a difference of two lengths from the second-place finisher, “Al-Najib,” for the Omani Royal Cavalry.
The champion, “Ivoire Eure,” descended from “Gasco de Cairo,” covered the race distance in 1:55:45 minutes, and the colt “Safir” by Yas for Horse Racing Management came third.
