TUR 2023, planned for 23-30 April by the Turkish Cycling Federation under the auspices of the Presidency and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was postponed to October due to the earthquakes on February 6.
The organization, which was first organized as the “Marmara Tour” in 1963 and gained international status for the first time in 1965, was taken under the auspices of the Presidency in 1966. The 58th tour will start tomorrow in Alanya and end in Istanbul on October 15.

TOUR 2023 in numbers
More than 100 national and international media members will follow the organization.
Approximately 250 vehicles will accompany the cyclists and the TUR 2023 team throughout the race. In each stage, police and gendarmerie teams of 2 thousand people will ensure the safety of the race on the 1235-kilometer track.
Approximately 16 thousand police and gendarmerie will be on duty during the race. Approximately 2 thousand people, including teams, media, UCI, UCI commissioners, guests, referees, employees, volunteers and medical teams, will take part in the event.

The Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey will be broadcast live on Eurosport and TRT Spor this year as well.

A commemorative forest will be created, considering that bicycles do not use fossil fuels, are environmentally friendly and are an alternative means of transportation for short distances as a solution to preventing global warming.
Within the framework of the work to be carried out to strengthen the existence of forests in Turkey, a tree planting ceremony will be held for the “58th Presidential Turkey Bicycle Tour Commemorative Forest”.
