The UAE Football Association, in cooperation with the International Federation (FIFA), organized a four-day course to develop the performance of female referees at the Federation’s headquarters in Dubai, under the supervision of Jordanian international lecturer Heba Muhammad Abed, with the aim of developing and improving the performance of women in the field of match refereeing.
According to a statement from the Football Association, “The course activities included theoretical lectures during which the latest amendments to the law of the game were reviewed, and some arbitration cases were explained via video, in addition to practical applications, tests, and other matters related to arbitration.”
Lecturer Heba Mohamed was keen to attend a number of matches in local competitions over the past few days, which witnessed the participation of female referees for the purpose of evaluation and follow-up.
