Zamalek club decided to dismiss its Swiss coach Christian Gross and appoint Portuguese Jose Pisero as a substitute for him due to poor results.
Egyptian media said that “Gross led the team’s training Thursday in preparation for the Petrojet match on Sunday, then he will leave after he gets the penalty clause.”
She explained: “The club administration met with Pisero via video and welcomed the training of Zamalek. The Portuguese will arrive in Cairo on Thursday with its aides and lead the team’s training on Friday. The technical staff will be fully announced at a later time.”
Gross Ain was a coach of Zamalek last December, succeeding the other Portuguese, Jose Gomez, who moved to the Saudi conquest training.
The state was the second for the Swiss with Zamalek after he led him in the 2019-2020 season.
Gross Zamalek led in only 14 games, during which he achieved 9 wins and 3 draws and two defeats.
Zamalek won in its last two matches in the league, Al-Ismaili 2-0 and Varco 1-0, and it is third with 26 points, behind leaders Pramides (30 points) and his second traditional Al-Ahly rivals and the title holder (29).
The team also qualified for the quarter -finals of the Confederation Cup (Confederation), which holds its title and is awaiting the knowledge of its rival in the draw that will be held at the end of this month.
This will be the second time that Pisero has worked in Egypt after he had previously led Al-Ahly in the 2015-2016 season, specifically between October 2015 and January 2016 before he submitted his resignation and leaves the Portuguese Porto training.
