The bride’s groom is a native of Panruti and a post graduate from Periyakattupalayam and is a senior engineer in a company in Chennai. The couple got engaged on November 6 last year and got married on January 20 in Kadampuliyoor village.

But the bridegroom did not like the way the bride danced in the hall. This was followed by an argument between the bride and groom. Finally, the angry groom slapped the bride’s arm. The bride slapped the groom in the face. Seeing this, the bride’s father immediately asked the groom and his family to leave. The bride’s father then discussed with the relatives and asked the bride if she was ready to marry the son of a relative from Villupuram. With the consent of the bride, the young woman married a young man who was also a cousin in the same wedding hall.

But according to the Times of India, the couple was dancing happily on stage. The groom was furious when his cousin came between them and danced with his hands on their shoulders. The enraged groom was pushing the bride and cousin. It was in the wake of this that the slap in the face took place and the groom’s family left and eventually married the cousin.
