“As a result of a successful offensive attack by our fighters, many nationalists and Bandera were destroyed on the spot,” Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.
He clarified that some managed to escape, but “our fighters promise to quickly overtake them.” In addition, he expressed hope for the early liberation of Donbass from nationalist formations.
Earlier that day, Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko said that the Ukrainian troops located in the villages of Gorskoye and Zolotoe were in the ring, they are currently in complete encirclement. Later it became known that a group of foreign mercenaries was liquidated while encircling these forces.
On June 7, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that a significant part of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had already been liberated during the special operation. Among the largest liberated settlements, he named Yarovaya, Kirovsk, Studenok, Yampol and Drobyshevo. According to Shoigu, 97% of the territory of the LPR has been liberated to date.
