The Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the term of detention until May 8 to the head of the anti-corruption department of the Federal Customs Service (FTS) of Russia, General Dmitry Muryshov, accused of bribery, Izvestia was told in court on February 8.
The court also extended the arrest until the same date for two other defendants in the case – Dmitry Nesterenko, director of the Vector Freight company, and Ilya Okorokov, adviser to Agromanagement LLC. They are accused under the article of mediation in bribery committed on an especially large scale.
According to the case materials, the investigator, motivating his petition, noted that Muryshov had been holding various positions in the Federal Customs Service of Russia for a long time, he had special skills and knowledge in the field of conducting investigative actions, as well as operational-search activities. Due to the positions he holds, he has a significant amount of connections among law enforcement officers.
The documents specify that several examinations have been appointed in the case, including five phonoscopic examinations and an examination of forensic identification preparations.
The deadline for the preliminary investigation of the criminal case has been extended until May 8.
