The head of the test fire laboratory in the Moscow region, Sergei Shchekin, was detained for accepting a bribe in the amount of 450 thousand rubles from a merchant. This was reported on December 25 by the press service of the Main Investigation Department of the RF IC for the Moscow Region.
It is reported that a criminal case on taking a bribe (clause “c”, part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and giving a bribe (clause “b”, part 4 of article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated against the head of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Forensic establishment of the federal fire service “Testing fire laboratory” in the Moscow region, as well as in relation to a representative of a commercial organization.
According to reports, the head of the fire service received a bribe of 450 thousand rubles from a representative of the organization for a positive conclusion on the audit.
The suspects have been detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
Earlier, on December 24, a court in the Leningrad region arrested an investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, suspected of bribery. According to the investigation, he, through intermediaries, received a monetary reward of 1 million rubles from the victim in the case under investigation. In addition to money, an employee of the department demanded to drill a well on the territory of his household in the Lomonosov region.
He was detained and charged.
