Kolkata. The controversy over the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, West Bengal is continuously deepening. Doctors and students across India are continuously protesting on the streets. Now, students of the prestigious Dhaka University of neighboring country Bangladesh have also joined the protest, showing their solidarity.
According to the report, a strike was held near the Raju sculpture at Dhaka (Bangladesh) University on Friday under the banner of ‘Awaaz Tolo Nari’. Rahnuma Ahmed Niret, a student of the Physics Department, said, ‘We are aware of the non-cooperative attitude of the medical college (RG Kar Medical College) administration regarding the rape case of a female doctor in Bengal. As women, we demand that the administration provide maximum legal assistance, strictly implement the law and give immediate verdict.’

At present, the interim government of Muhammad Yunus is running there. On the other hand, a security committee has been announced amidst the strike of doctors in India.
Apart from this, the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Saturday directed the doctors to withdraw the strike and return to work. A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Raj Mohan Singh heard the petition of Anshul Tiwari, a resident of Narsinghpur district, challenging the strike.
