Srinagar: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s Indian Unity Yatra entered Kathua in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir this morning. Today is the 125th day of the pilgrimage. Rahul Gandhi started the Yatra at Kanyakumari on September 7. He has passed through many states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and is currently on pilgrimage in Kashmir. Yatra was held in Kathua this morning.
Regarding this pilgrimage, National Conference Party President Farooq Abdullah said yesterday, “It was Shankaracharya who went on a pilgrimage from Kanyakumari to Kashmir through dense forests in the 8th century. After that, Rahul Gandhi has done this pilgrimage.” Rahul Gandhi was welcomed with art performances at Madhopur. At the reception, Farooq Abdullah spoke passionately, “Before the end of my life, I want to see a secular India where everyone is respected.”
