Today, the Islamic Development Bank Group launched its annual meetings in Jeddah, which will last for three days, to discuss the challenges facing the member countries of the Islamic Development Bank.
This year’s IDB Group Annual Meetings will bring together ministers from 57 member countries, senior government officials, and heads of international organizations.
The Group’s Annual Meetings are an important platform for global leaders, policy makers and players in the development landscape.
The head of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Muhammad Al-Jasser, said that support must be increased for member states to increase their development expenditures, pointing to the increase in the volume of loans by one billion dollars, or by 34% in the current year so far, compared to the same period last year.
Al-Jasser added that the challenges are very great, but the performance of the bank’s member countries is good.
