The Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced the holding of a closed training camp for the national team in the city of Al Dhanna in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), during the period from April 13 until next May 1, in preparation for participation in the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which is hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi, in the… Mubadala Arena during the period from 3 to 8 next May.
The federation’s technical administration confirmed that 30 adult players, male and female, will participate in the training camp, which aims to raise their technical and physical efficiency, and enhance their psychological and mental readiness, by intensifying training to improve the players’ technical and tactical skills, and providing a platform to study competition methods and get to know closely. The performance of potential competitors in various weight categories, and building strategies and plans to deal with various pressures and challenges, in preparation for competing at the highest levels, and enhancing the team’s chances of maintaining the title.
For his part, Director of the Technical Department at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Mubarak Al Menhali, said: “We are all confident that our heroes and heroines will be fully prepared to fight the fights and provide an honorable performance to win the Asian Championship title again.”
He added: “We are pleased to host this edition of the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi for the second time in less than four years, so that the fights will take place on Emirati soil, and in the presence of Emirati fans, giving our players an additional incentive to achieve new victories and maintain the title.”
He continued: “Our ambitions are undoubtedly great, as our national team has repeatedly proven that it is trustworthy, and has always lived up to our aspirations. In turn, in the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, we are sparing no effort to organize and present the tournament at the highest levels, and in accordance with the best international standards, in light of the great support of the wise leadership, which harnesses all capabilities to consolidate the country’s position at the top of the global pyramid of sports.”
