The national team is participating in the Arab Karate Championship for juniors, youth and the general public, which begins today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and lasts for three days, with the participation of about 325 male and female players from various Arab countries.
The team delegation is headed by the Secretary-General of the Emirati and Arab Federations, a member of the Board of Directors of the West Asian Federation, Engineer Hamid Shams Al-Zarouni, and the Director of the National Teams, Ahmed Salem Baslaib.
The delegation includes nine male and female players participating in various categories and weights. They are: Nada Khamis, under 14 years old, weighing over 52 kg, Faisal Al Khalidi, in the junior category, weighing over 70 kg, Khaled Al Kindi, in the junior category, weighing under 63 kg, and Hoda Hatem, in the junior women’s category, weighing under 47 kg. Ali Saleh for the youth category, weight under 68 kg, and Rashid Al-Saridi for the youth category, weight under 61 kg. kg, and Sheikha Al-Yafei in the kata competition for the young women’s and women’s categories, Saif Al-Qaidi in the under-21 category, in the under-84 kg category, and Ibrahim Bakhit in the under-21 and men’s under-60 kg categories.
The President of the Emirati and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Karate Federation, Major General (M) Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, expressed his confidence in the players’ capabilities and their ability to provide outstanding performance and achieve honorable results, stressing that the competition will be strong, but it is an opportunity to highlight the capabilities of the team’s players.
