Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet did have an active dialogue, including on the situation in Ukraine. This was announced on Monday, February 6, by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Indeed, Putin and Bennet, when the latter was Prime Minister of Israel, had an active dialogue. On the agenda, in addition to bilateral relations, was Ukraine and the Northern Military District. They devoted more than one hour to discussing this topic, ”Peskov said, commenting on an interview with the ex-Prime Minister of Israel.
At the same time, Peskov did not disclose the details of the dialogue.
“I will neither refute nor confirm what Mr. Bennet said. We are not supporters of disclosing the details of the negotiations between the heads of state, we do not want to do this even now,” the Kremlin spokesman added.
A day earlier, Bennett, who acted as an intermediary between Moscow and Kyiv at the beginning of the Russian special operation to protect Donbass, gave the first interview since leaving politics in the summer of 2022.
