Traffic on the Kerch ferry crossing, connecting the Krasnodar Territory with the Crimea, was temporarily suspended due to deteriorating weather conditions. This was reported on Wednesday, April 12, in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Crimea.
They specified that the work of the seaport was suspended, in particular, due to heavy fog.
“According to the information of the Kerch Seaport, due to the deterioration of weather conditions (fog), the work of the Kerch ferry crossing was temporarily suspended,” reads a message published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.
Later, the department reported that the movement of ferries was restored and carried out as usual.
Prior to this, on the evening of April 10, the work of the crossing was suspended due to strong winds.
The Kerch ferry crossing connects the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea. Any trucks, including light trucks, pass through it in connection with repair work on the Crimean bridge, which was damaged as a result of a terrorist attack in October 2022.
