In the 2024 Thailand International Rowing Championships, which concluded last Sunday, the modern national rowing team won 18 colorful medals, including 10 gold, six silver and two bronze, in the “boat” and “rowing apparatus” disciplines.
A press statement stated that participation in the international championship comes within the plans of the UAE Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation to provide opportunities for contact and hone the capabilities of male and female national team players in preparation for upcoming competitions.
At the conclusion of the participation, the Emirates Marine Sports Federation was keen to extend its sincere thanks to the sports clubs in the country for their cooperation with the Federation’s programs, most notably the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club and the Al Hamriyah Cultural Sports Club for nurturing talent and interest in developing sailing sports and modern rowing, as well as the organizing committee for the international championship.
The statement said, “The male and female national team players benefited from international participation and demonstrated a good technical presence, with which they competed for first places in all categories.”
