Residents of Donetsk captured on video the shelling of the city by Ukrainian militants using prohibited high-explosive anti-personnel pressure mines PFM-1 “Lepestok”. Citizens posted the footage on July 31 on social media.
In the video, loud explosions are heard, after which anti-personnel mines began to fall on the city. Residents filming the video had to hide from flying shells in the entrance.
One of the cars ran over a mine on Freedom Square, which caused the car’s tires to burst.
“He was lucky that the car didn’t roll over … Stupidly downtown,” said the man behind the scenes.
On July 30, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination reported that Ukrainian neo-Nazis had scattered PFM-1 “Lepestok” mines in the center of Donetsk.
A similar incident occurred in Donetsk on the night of July 28. The department warned residents of the city that nationalist anti-personnel mines could be located anywhere in the city, and urged citizens not to touch such explosive devices under any circumstances.
At the same time, Izvestia presented footage of the consequences of shelling by Ukrainian neo-Nazis with mines “Lepestok” in the area in Makiivka. The video shows green explosive devices shaped like petals. They lie on roads and sidewalks. Warnings “Beware of mines” were left next to them. Traces of the explosions are visible on the asphalt.
In addition, on July 29, it became known that residents of the Novoluganskoye settlement in the DPR also found mines “Petal”, which were left by the Ukrainian military during the retreat. They are also found in the grass in the courtyards of houses. There are the first victims who stumbled upon explosive devices.

On February 21, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
