The State Traffic Inspectorate of Moscow on Thursday, September 15, warned drivers to be careful on the roads with the onset of rainy weather.
Drivers were advised to be extremely careful on the road, keep a safe distance, strictly follow the instructions of road signs, and also choose the speed of movement, guided by road and weather conditions.
The traffic police also reminded about the safety rules for pedestrians in the rain.
“Daylight hours have been reduced, the predominance of cloudy weather and precipitation reduce visibility on the roads – in the interests of your own safety, use retroreflective elements,” the department’s Telegram channel says.
In addition, pedestrians were advised to move only on sidewalks, cross the carriageway only at pedestrian crossings and slightly shift their hoods and move umbrellas away before crossing the road.
