On the other hand, the Football Association stated, through its official account on the “X” platform, that the UAE Embassy in Kuwait, in cooperation with the UAE Football Association, is offering offers and facilities to all fans of the national team coming to Kuwait, to attend the “Gulf 26” matches.
The facilities provided include providing a package that includes hotel accommodation and transportation services from the moment of arrival to the airport, along with providing transportation between the hotel and the stadiums back and forth.
The national team delegation left for Kuwait yesterday, on a private plane, to participate in the tournament.
The team delegation includes 26 players, in addition to technical, administrative and medical staff.
Kuwait International Airport is preparing to receive about 30,000 fans of the Arabian Gulf Cup in its 26th edition, in addition to the flights that will arrive by land.
The Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport and Civil Aviation Security, the administration’s spokesman, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, confirmed in statements to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that there is full coordination with the authorities working at the airport and the organizing committee for “Gulf 26” to facilitate the entry process for fans. He said: “We have developed comprehensive plans to ensure the smooth flow of movement, provide the necessary support to visitors, and facilitate all procedures.”
He added: “We have provided specialized work teams to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all fans coming to attend the events, with additional flights arriving throughout the days of the tournament, without the usual scheduled flights during this period of the year.”
He pointed out: “We expect the arrival of 75 additional flights from all Gulf countries and Iraq, in addition to new flights in the advanced rounds of the tournament, especially the semi-finals and final rounds.”
