Rescuers found the body of another deceased while clearing the rubble of an apartment building in Donetsk. This was announced on Sunday, February 4, by the head of the city Alexei Kulemzin.
“This morning, during the analysis of the rubble of an apartment building on the street. Artyom found the body of another deceased man, ”Kulemzin wrote in his Telegram channel.
The identity of the deceased is established. Before that, the bodies of a man and a woman were found under the rubble.
Ukrainian nationalists shelled Donetsk the day before. The mayor of the city reported two direct hits on residential buildings in the Kiev region. One of the blows hit the roof of a house on Artem Street. Another shell damaged the glazing of an apartment building on Rue Rossini. As a result, the glazing of the apartment building was damaged. It was noted that at least three people could be under the rubble.
Footage from the scene was shown by the Izvestia correspondent. They show the work of rescuers and equipment. Work on site continues. It is possible that there may still be people under the rubble.
Earlier, on Saturday, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes in Kyiv (JCCC) informed that Ukrainian forces had shelled the settlements of the republic 27 times during the day.
Russia continues a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass. The decision was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 against the backdrop of an aggravation of the situation in the region due to increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
