The number of Maroc Telecom Group customers reached approximately 75.1 million customers in the first nine months of 2023, a slight decrease of 0.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
The group explained, in a report on its results dated September 30, that the mobile phone base in Morocco reached approximately 20 million customers, and it continues to benefit from the good performance of the forward payment base, which achieves 3.4 percent.
The report stated that the fixed telephone market stabilized at 1.8 million lines at the end of September 2023, indicating that the fiber optic “FTTH” market (plus 44 percent) compensates for a large share of the decline recorded at the level of the asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL).
Internationally, the number of mobile phone hangar customers reached 51,145,000, distributed across Burkina Faso (11,339,000), Ivory Coast (9,704,000), Mali (8,358,000), Chad (6,007,000), Benin (5,489,000) and Niger. (3,008,000), Togo (2,882,000), Mauritania (2,642,000), Gabon (1,486,000) and Central Africa (230,000).
The number of fixed-line customers reached 383,000, distributed across Mali (218,000), Burkina Faso (75,000), Gabon (52,000), and Mauritania (38,000), while the number of customers in the high-bandwidth station reached 189,000 customers.
