In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the peak of tick activity has been passed. A gradual decrease in the number of sucking insects was recorded. This was announced by the head of the regional Rospotrebnadzor Dmitry Goryaev.
However, the number of ticks in the region is still high. So, last week more than 1 thousand people suffered from these insects.
Since the beginning of the season, the most affected by ticks were among residents of Krasnoyarsk, Divnogorsk, Kansk, Emelyanovsky, Berezovsky, Achinsk, Mansky and Nizhneingashsky districts. They were bitten more often when visiting summer cottages.
IA KrasnoyarskMedia writes that now at stationary observation points the maximum number of ticks is observed in the forest-steppe western group of regions (123 specimens per 1 km), in the low-mountain forest zone (32.5 specimens per 1 km), and also in the steppe Minusinsk depression (32 specimens for 1 km).
The first ticks of this season were found already at the end of March in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and on the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk. More than 16 thousand residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have been vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis, 80% of them are children.
