Ratlam: Kandilal Bhil (35) hails from Mansa police jurisdiction in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. A case of sexual assault was filed against him in 2020. He was arrested in this case and spent 2 years in jail.
In this case, he was released from the case on October 20, 2022. Following this, Kandilal Bhil filed a case against the Madhya Pradesh government in the Ratlam District Sessions Court, demanding compensation of Rs.10 thousand 6 crores and 2 lakh crores.
Kandilal Beel said in his petition: “I suffered many atrocities in jail for 2 years in a false case. I had the responsibility of taking care of my aged mother, wife and 3 children. My family was impoverished because I was suddenly thrown into jail. They suffered from starvation.
Therefore, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh should pay Rs. 10 thousand 6 crore 2 lakhs as compensation for the loss, emotional distress and legal expenses incurred by me and my family. Government should realize that human life is valuable. Out of which Rs.2 lakh is for litigation expenses. This is what he said. The case will come up for hearing on the 10th.
