A woman named DL who lives in Chicago, America.. A man named Marques Jamal Jackson.. both fell in love. They started living together in 2016. They are in a living relationship for 5 years. But they ended their relationship in October 2021. Both have decided to separate by mutual consent and have been living separately since then. But since then, Jamal Jackson has revealed another side of himself. He harasses by sending private pictures taken when both of them are together, when they are having sex, when the woman is naked. The photos were placed on porn websites. He created a fake social media account in her name and posted on it. Besides these, he also collected some other personal photos from her cellphone, CC cameras and e-mail. He sent links to the photos uploaded online to the woman’s family members, relatives and friends.

A woman fed up with Jamal Jackson’s antics warned him. Not afraid of them at all, he said that it is not easy to delete those photos from online. So she approached the police. However, after no action was taken, in April 2022, she filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas civil court. A team of special judges heard the arguments of both sides on this incident and gave a sensational verdict. Jamal Jackson has issued orders to pay the victim 1.2 billion dollars i.e. Rs. 9,986 crores in Indian currency. 200 million dollars i.e. Rs. 1,664 crores for psychologically harassing the woman. Another billion dollars and Rs. 8,322 crores have to be paid as punishment for causing damage to her reputation.

During this case, the term revenge porn came out again. It is in force in most states of America. US law prohibits ex-partners from posting personal photos and videos online without their consent. If anyone does otherwise, severe action will be taken. Such acts which are done with the intention of harming the personality of the other person are known as revenge porn.
