The players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” and Moscow “Spartak” staged a fight following the results of the meeting in the final stage of the Cup of Russia. The meeting was held on November 27 in St. Petersburg.
The main time of the match ended in a draw, 0:0. On penalties, Zenit turned out to be stronger, winning with a score of 4: 2. According to Sport-Express, the decisive goal was scored by Zenit midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev, a former pupil of Spartak.
However, after regular time, a fight broke out. Initially, there was a brawl between Spartak forward Shamar Nicholson and Zenit midfielder Wilmar Barrios. Then the rest of the players joined the wall along the wall growing to the conflict. Moreover, substitute players and even coaches also participated in the fight.
