Today, Abu Dhabi Racecourse will host the 32nd edition of the President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses.
The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Racecourse, Engineer Ali Al Shaiba, said: “The President’s Cup for purebred Arabian horses will witness strong competition between elite horses and riders from inside and outside the country.”
He added, “The current edition is exceptional in the final leg of the President’s Cup series of races around the world,” thanking and appreciating the Supreme Organizing Committee for choosing the Abu Dhabi Racing Club track to host the event, stressing the track’s readiness to receive elite horses, riders, and trainers from all over the world.
The evening includes seven rounds, including two rounds for the President’s Cup for Arabian horses and purebred crossbred horses.
The race attracts an elite group of riders and purebred Arabian and purebred horses, to compete for the total prizes amounting to 10.8 million dirhams.
The President’s Cup race for purebred Arabian horses will be held in the seventh and final round, for a distance of 2,200 meters (first category), with prizes worth eight million dirhams. The sixth half will witness the President’s Cup race for crossbred horses, for a distance of 1,400 metres, with the participation of 11 horses, with a total prize pool of one million dirhams.
