The “professional” clubs contract with 22 citizens, compared to 17 foreign players.

Yesterday evening, the second transfer period in the current season for “winter transfers” for local and foreign players in various local competitions closed, as the registration period witnessed active movement by various clubs, especially at the level of the ADNOC Professional Football League clubs, which recorded 48 operations. According to an official statement of the Football Association. Some clubs took advantage of this period, which started from last January 11 until five in the afternoon yesterday, the closing date of transfers, in order to strengthen their ranks and avoid gaps in their contracts that took place during the last summer transfers. The Football Association announced the registration of 438 total operations for all competitions, with 48 for the ADNOC Professional League, 120 operations for “amateur” clubs for the first division, then 82 for the second division, 145 for the third division, 23 for the U-21 league, and 20 for the youth league (U-21). .

In detail, with regard to professional clubs, the deals of national players outperformed foreigners by 22, compared to 17 operations, in addition to 6 operations related to the registration of resident players, and 3 operations of registration and registration of births in the country. Club requests during the winter transfer period included 166 replacement cases, 27 loan within the country, 28 transfers within the country, and 217 player registration cases.

The most prominent contracts for professional clubs were Al-Nasr’s contract with the former Togolese Kalba player, Menil Malaba, while Al-Jazira included the Iraqi Ayman Hussein, the top scorer of the 25th Gulf Cup, which was recently held in Iraq, and Al-Ain signed a contract with Croatian defender Tin Edvai (27 years), on loan. , while Al-Wahda included the Argentine Facundo Krusepzki, within the category of resident player, and the Brazilian Matthews Pereira. On the other hand, Al-Ahly youth contracted with midfielder Tariq Ahmed, in a free transfer deal coming from Al-Nasr, while Al-Wasl contracted with Chilean midfielder Felipe Gutierrez, In a free transfer deal, while Sharjah included, hours before the winter registration closing period, the striker of Cape Verde and the Turkish club Trabzonspor, Djanini Tavares (31 years), on loan until the end of the season, as a substitute for the striker Makita Diop, who was not convincing throughout the period. He joined Sharjah since last October. The winter transfers were devoid of contracts with heavy-caliber players, such as what happened in the summer transfers, which witnessed heavy-caliber deals, most notably the inclusion of the Sharjah trio: Spanish striker Alcacer, Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, and Greek Manolas. Several clubs in the ADNOC Professional League settled on their existing players, especially at the level of foreigners and residents, and did not make changes in their ranks by attracting new players, whether they were local or foreign.

It is noteworthy that the Football Association had set the timing for registration operations in the “Mercato” between nine in the morning and five in the evening daily.

Throughout the registration periods that were closed yesterday, all transactions related to the registration and registration of players are carried out electronically and not manually.
