Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement in Volgograd is a clear signal that Russia has state-of-the-art weapons capable of striking in any direction across Europe or beyond. This was stated on February 5 by a Syrian expert, professor in the field of international relations at Damascus University Bassam Abu Abdallah.
“Russia has not sent its tanks in any direction, it is protecting its national security. President Putin’s words send a clear message that Russia has the most advanced weapons that will strike at any side in Europe or beyond, ”RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Abu Abdallah noted that the West must understand that there is no compromise, and Russia is ready to use all types of weapons and all available options if the West crosses the “red lines”.
Abu Abdullah also expressed the opinion that the new supply of Western weapons to Ukraine “will not change Russia’s intended goals in the special operation and will not postpone the plan.”
On February 2, Putin, at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, called it incredible that Russia was again being threatened by German tanks. The head of state drew a parallel with the times of the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
The Russian leader also noted that those who draw European countries into a new war and expect to win on the battlefield do not understand that a modern war with the Russian Federation will be different. He stressed that Russia has something to respond to these unfriendly steps.
