The radius of destruction in Tiraspol in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), if the terrorists were successful, would be 400 m. This is stated in a video report published on March 9, which was prepared by the First Pridnestrovian TV channel based on materials from the Ministry of State Security.
“If the plan was implemented <...> the radius of destruction of the explosive device would be up to 400 meters,” the intelligence services said in a commentary.
Also, according to the prosecutor of the republic, Anatoly Guretsky, the composition of the explosive device indicates that a major terrorist attack was being prepared.
Vyacheslav Kisnichan was named as the organizer, to whom the Security Service of Ukraine, presumably, had to pay $2.5 thousand.
Earlier on the same day, the Ministry of State Security of the PMR announced that an attempt on a number of officials of the republic had been prevented in Pridnestrovie. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic, Vitaly Ignatiev, said that an attempt was being prepared, including on the president of the republic, Vadim Krasnoselsky.
It was also reported that Krasnoselsky was warned that a terrorist act was being prepared in the republic.
Ignatiev, in a conversation with Izvestia, called the goal of the planned terrorist attack to undermine the state administration system.
At the same time, Guretsky believes that the purpose of the terrorist attack being prepared in Transnistria was to discredit the Russian Federation and Russian peacekeepers.
