Through an interview with the newspaper Trome, Nickol Sinchi revealed why he decided to retire from Corazón Serrano in 2023, despite having been in the group for 9 years and the enormous success it had. According to what the artist mentioned, she decided to dedicate more time to her son and, for that reason, she moved away from the musical orchestra.
“When I didn’t have a little son, it was more practical for me. We traveled every day, I didn’t have that pressure of getting home after a month, two months. When I became a mother, I already wanted to spend more time with my son and, since I worked a lot, it was impossible. That was one of the reasons why I left the group.”
However, Nickol Sinchi He also highlighted that, although he was looking to spend more time with his only son, he felt that his time in Corazón Serrano had ended.
“I feel that my time in the group had already ended, it was nine years of a lot of work. I have always wanted something more, apart from spending more time with my son. I wanted to continue growing and see my son grow; There were many things that I was not enjoying. Now I am taking advantage of all the time that I couldn’t be with him,” he added.
What does Nickol Sinchi do now?

“Now that I’m alone, I go into everything. I have to see what we are going to do for the photo shoot, what I am going to wear, I check who the musicians will be, we are seeing how we formalize the company with my family (…) That is the ideal: working as a family and spending more time together. I feel that this way I can distribute my time better,” he explained.
It should be noted that Nickol Sinchi plans to make some musical collaborations: “I have several collaborations that are being prepared, very nice, with artists that many people like. And it’s not just cumbia, I would like to do something different.”
