Units of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic, with the support of the RF Armed Forces, broke through the defense in depth of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and reached the administrative border of the LPR, and also took control of Popasnaya. This was announced on May 10 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
He said that as a result of the offensive, up to 120 Ukrainian soldiers, 13 armored vehicles and 12 vehicles for various purposes were eliminated.
In addition, on the night of May 10, aviation forces, missile troops and artillery units of the Russian Federation and the LPR destroyed a total of 33 command posts, 423 areas of concentration of Ukrainian troops and equipment, as well as five ammunition depots and fuel depots in the areas of Nikolaev and Mirny of the Nikolaev region . In total, up to 380 Ukrainian servicemen were liquidated, 53 units of military equipment were disabled.
The Ministry of Defense reports that since the beginning of the special military operation, 163 aircraft, 124 helicopters, 793 unmanned aerial vehicles, 300 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2979 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 351 installations of multiple launch rocket systems, 1440 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 2789 units of special military vehicles.
