On behalf of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the government will allocate 1 billion rubles for the construction of an infectious diseases hospital in the Perm Territory. This was announced on Saturday, December 25, at the press service of the Cabinet.
It is noted that the Perm Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital is located in wooden buildings built in 1876-1917. Its technical condition does not meet modern standards and requirements, it is impossible to organize high-tech care for patients there.
“The federal center will help the Perm Territory with the construction of a new infectious diseases hospital. 1 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes, ”the message says.
The 230-bed clinic is planned to be built by 2023.
In addition, another 200 million rubles will be allocated to the region for the purchase of the necessary medical equipment for the Perm Perinatal Center.
In addition, within the framework of the federal project “Advanced Engineering Schools”, students will have the opportunity to undergo practical training and internships on the basis of leading Russian high-tech companies. The Prime Minister also instructed to allocate funds for the restoration of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration Monastery.
On December 16, Mishustin ordered to allocate 10 billion rubles to the regions to support hospitals helping patients with COVID-19. It was noted that the funds will go to help the regions with the repair of medical equipment and the purchase of consumables. Mishustin said that additional funds should be allocated to increase the volume of decoding of the coronavirus genomes as part of enhanced surveillance of cases of the disease.
On October 20, the Russian leader instructed the Ministry of Health to provide support to the regions with personnel and medicines. In addition, Putin demanded to control the availability of oxygen in the regions for patients with COVID-19.
