The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources launched the “Mining Report” application, which allows individuals, investors and government agencies to report mining violations electronically, through a fully automated journey of reporting; With the aim of protecting mineral resources, and raising the compliance rate.
The application aims to improve the beneficiary’s experience by receiving and processing incoming communications electronically, enhancing the formal investment environment, in addition to enhancing the citizen’s role in protecting mineral resources, and regulating the mechanism for receiving communications received by the Ministry.
The “mining notification” service comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to protect mineral resources, and it is an extension of the monthly monitoring tours that the ministry undertakes, in addition to strengthening the ministry’s efforts to ensure fair competition for local and international investors, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.
The application is also consistent with the Kingdom’s endeavor to achieve the idea of a society based on knowledge, speed of response, and interaction, taking into account the importance of the time factor, by providing everything necessary to enable e-government transactions, so that government services are provided to the target audience from anywhere, at any time. Through smart devices to serve customers effectively and efficiently.
It is noteworthy that the mining sector is one of the strategic sectors in the Kingdom, and the Kingdom has launched a comprehensive strategy for the sector.
