A school is like a temple. But our leaders’ foraging continues as if nothing is unworthy of occupation. A local leader who took possession of a disused school building in Panyam of Nandyala district has completely renovated it and turned it into a home. A wall was built in the front porch and it was converted into a hall. A quail wall above.. Stairs to climb the building.. He also took up the construction of toilets under them.
- Turned the house into a foreclosed house..
- Nandyala district is worst in drinking water
- The local authorities are tight-lipped
This house that you see in the photo.. was once a school building. It was built in 2012 at Indira Nagar in Panyam of Kurnool district. Till 2015, 28 children were studying in it. As this building is at the end of the village, another school building was constructed in the middle of the village. Children have been studying in the new building since June 2016. Since then the old building is not in use. A local leader noticed this and changed its shape. The tree has been converted into a house. The front wall was built, the door and window were fixed, and stairs were also built to climb up. In a few days it may be sold or rented. But the matter came out with the initiative of the locals.
Even though all this is happening.. it is surprising that none of the relevant officials have spoken up for all these years. It is noteworthy that the MEO said that the head master of that area was supposed to give them information but did not give it.
