Lighted at Prakasam Barrage in Guntur district. A young man jumped into the Krishna River on Wednesday morning. Upon learning of the matter, the police reached the barrage and tried to rescue the youth but to no avail.
However, based on his phone, he was identified as a man from Guntur and informed the family members. Mahankali (28), son of Chirumamilla Kumari, working in Guntur Municipal Corporation, was identified by the police. According to her complaint, the police registered a case and collected details. Mahankali got married two years ago. The second married with the permission of the first wife as no children were born. However, the information that the mother of the deceased said that he was depressed due to not having children .. hence he committed suicide. Police are investigating the case.
