38 players from the Emirate of Sharjah basketball clubs of different age groups organized a skills development camp in the city of “Yalova” in Turkey, under the supervision of American coach Chris Dial, and three of his assistants, along with three coaches with the delegation from club coaches.
The camp was launched through morning and evening training sessions, with the participation of players from different countries. The morning sessions are devoted to developing individual skills, as players are divided according to age and skill level, while evening sessions include training to develop decision-making skills through mini-competitions between two and three players.
The camp will continue until the 30th of this month, and comes as part of the Sharjah Sports Council’s keenness to enhance development plans to advance basketball in the emirate, and to hone talents in different age groups, which will have a positive impact on the players.
