Corvette “Provorny” after a fire at the shipyard “Severnaya Verf” in St. Petersburg can be fully restored by 2026. This was announced on Monday, December 27, by TASS, citing a source in the shipbuilding industry.
“Corvette” Provorny “will be able to fully restore after a fire not earlier than in five years,” – said the agency’s interlocutor.
According to him, the final conclusions on the timing of the restoration of the ship after the conclusion of the United Shipbuilding Corporation and representatives of the “Severnaya Verf”.
The fire on the ship “Severnaya Verf” happened on the evening of 17 December. At 22:49 the fire was localized. According to the source, the area of the fire was 300 square meters. m.
As a result of the fire, three people were injured. One of them was hospitalized in a moderate severity, two in a satisfactory one. Two firefighters were among the injured.
According to a source in the military-industrial complex, the corvette of the project 20385 “Agile” corvette under construction was not damaged in the fire, but the superstructure and the main antenna-mast device of the ship were seriously damaged.
Investigators opened a criminal case on violation of safety rules during work after the fire at the Severnaya Verf. According to the UK, the incident resulted in major damage.
