A boy from a poor family used to read newspapers in the morning. He studied hard and passed CA. He excelled in the job. Not stopping at that, he entered the business sector and accumulated crores. Although he likes cricket, there is no chance to continue in cricket. With the money earned, he bought a land and built a cricket academy and a stadium. He gave the name to his son who was born after that. The boy who grew up in the course of time played a Ranji match in the stadium built by his father and scored a century. It sounds like a movie story to listen to.. But this is not a movie story. This is the real story of a budding cricketer who is eagerly waiting to join the Indian cricket team. Abhimanyu Easwaran’s father’s name is Ranganathan Parameswaran Easwaran. Ranganathan is a Chartered Accountant from Tamil Nadu. He endured many hardships and studied.. and climbed high peaks in life. Ranganathan, who loves cricket a lot.. bought land in Dehradun and set up Abhimanyu Cricket Academy.. built a stadium with the same name. By the time the academy was established, Abhimanyu was not yet born. After that Abhimanyu became a cricketer. He became a key member of the Bengal Ranji team. Abhimanyu, who toured Bangladesh on behalf of India-A, scored two centuries in a row before Team India played the ODI series against Bangladesh. BCCI has selected Abhimanyu as a replacement for Rohit Sharma who was injured in the second ODI against Bangladesh. But did not get a chance to play. Abhimanyu, who is hoping to make an entry into the Indian team, is showing his strength in Ranji. Playing Ranji for Bengal, he scored a century in the match against Uttarakhand. Abhimanyu scored a century.. It is special that it was at the ground built in his name by his father. Ranji matches were held in that stadium earlier too. But this is the first time playing Bengal. Ranganathan was very happy when his son scored a century in the stadium he built. What is Ranganathan building a stadium in Dehradun.. Do you think his son is playing for Bengal..? Abhimanyu was born and brought up in Dehradun. When he was ten years old, he shifted to Kolkata where he had all the facilities to excel as a cricketer. The match against Uttarakhand was very emotional for Abhimanyu. The reason for that is not only that he scored a century in the stadium built in his name. Abhimanyu’s family friend (father’s friend) Prabhojit Singh died of a heart attack a day before the start of this match. Ranganathan said that Singh was called Abhimanyu Mamu.. His son who scored a century on the day of his friend’s funeral dedicated the century to ‘Mamu’.
