The Fujairah Martial Arts Club announced the organization of the second edition of the Fujairah International Taekwondo Champions Camp, during the period from January 27 to February 3, coinciding with the UAE’s hosting of the Arab Taekwondo Cup and the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship, which will be held next February.
An elite group of the world’s most prominent players participate in the training camp, which is considered one of the most prominent training camps in Taekwondo.
In turn, the director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Nader Abu Shawish, told “Emirates Today”: “The camp aims to provide an ideal training environment for the players who will participate in the Arab and (Fujairah Taekwondo) Championships. It is also an ideal opportunity for UAE players to interact with players from other advanced countries in the game, in preparation for participation.” “At the World Junior Championships, which will be hosted by Fujairah next May.”
It is noteworthy that three of the Arab players who participated in the first edition of the camp won three Olympic medals in the last Olympic Games “Paris 2024”, and they are Tunisian Firas Al-Qatusi, who was crowned with a gold medal in the under-80 kilogram category, and his compatriot Mohamed Jendoubi, who won a bronze medal in the under-58 kilogram category. And Jordanian Zaid Mustafa won silver in the under 68 kilograms.
