Therapist, candidate of medical sciences Aleksey Zhito told what rules should be followed in order not to freeze on the street in winter.
According to a specialist in an interview with Channel Five on Wednesday, December 29, in winter a person, being on the street, may get hypothermia and not even notice it. First of all, the arms, legs, ears and nose are affected.
The first at risk are people who have had infections or operations, as well as children and the elderly. Those who went out into the cold after drinking alcohol also risk freezing on the street: they are not able to correctly assess the temperature and often die.
“It must be remembered that going out into the street, a person must be warmly dressed and well dressed with food,” the doctor emphasized.
He noted that before going outside in winter, one should drink more water and eat foods enriched with fats, the TV channel “360” notes. In frosty weather, it will not be superfluous to abandon metal jewelry that has a high thermal conductivity. It is best to dress in several layers of clothing, the site kp.ru notes.
When the first signs of hypothermia appear, you should go into the room and drink hot coffee.
Earlier, on December 29, in Moscow and the Moscow region, the “yellow” level of danger was extended. The warning is now valid until 12:00 pm on Friday, December 31st. According to forecasters, the weather is potentially dangerous due to icy conditions, according to the Zvezda TV channel.
