New Delhi: The return of the tri-armies to Basara as the concluding program of the Republic Day celebrations took place in Delhi yesterday in pouring rain.
The country’s 74th Republic Day celebration was held on 26th Jan. President Drabupati Murmu hoisted the national flag at the function held in Delhi. Egypt’s President El-Sisi was the special guest at this year’s Republic Day event.
Every year, the event of returning to Pasarai after the Republic Day celebrations is held with much fanfare. In that way, yesterday in the pouring rain in Vijay Chowk, Delhi, the return march of the three armed forces to Basara was held in a very special manner.
The program was attended by President Drabupati Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Soldiers from Army, Navy, Air Force, Central Armed Forces (CAPF) and State Police took part in the parade playing musical instruments.
An exhibition involving 1,000 drones was held at Pasara’s return event last year. This year’s return to Pasara was planned to host the largest drone exhibition featuring 3,500 entirely indigenous drones. In this case, the drone exhibition was not held due to the weather.
The audience is ecstatic
The Pasara return program started with the song “Agniveer”. This was followed by the drums playing ecstatic tunes like “Kedar Nath”, “Al Mora”, “Satpura Rani”, “Sangam Dur”, “Satpura Rani”, “Baghirathila”, “Konkan Sundari”. The band played and enthralled the audience.
As usual, the Pasarai Nisachi ended with the popular song “Jare Jahan Se Acha”.
