In Moscow, since the beginning of 2021, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate have identified more than 130 thousand violations related to exceeding the norms for tinting car windows. On December 27, the official Telegram channel of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reports.
Now the fine for such a violation is 500 rubles. In this case, the inspector has the right to demand from the driver to remove the tint from the car windows on the spot. If the motorist cannot do this, the police will issue a demand to the offender, obliging to remove the tint.
If the driver ignored this requirement, then in relation to him comes administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 19.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Disobedience to a lawful order or request of a police officer.”
Such an offense provides for the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 2-4 thousand rubles, or an administrative arrest for up to 15 days, or compulsory work for a period of 40 to 120 hours.
On August 24, Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Labor Committee, sent an appeal to the Russian government with a request to revise GOST for car tinting, reducing the requirements for the level of light transmission of film from 70 to 50%. According to him, he was prompted to do this by unfair fines against motorists, as well as hot weather conditions, from which dark glasses help to escape.
