The first-of-its-kind “Emirati Olympic House” will continue its activities and receive visitors during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games until the end of the Olympics tomorrow.
This unique experience allows the public to attend for free, and provides a rich glimpse into Emirati culture from the heart of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
The design of the “Emirati Olympic House” was inspired by the traditional Emirati houses, to welcome visitors from all over the world, and invite them to explore eight diverse spaces, each of which offers a unique experience for guests and visitors. These spaces are:
The track: the starting area, which is a passageway that forms a gateway to other spaces.
Majlis: The welcoming space where the UAE welcomes its guests, and where people of different cultures meet and exchange ideas.
Liwan: A communication area, a shaded space that connects different parts of the house.
Field: A field of movement and activity, an open space dedicated to sports and an event centre.
Al-Hawi: Playground, a multi-use space for children’s play and daily activities.
Legacy: Social Media Arena.
The Shop: A Place of Memories.
The UAE Olympic House uses the latest technology to offer three interactive games available to everyone that simulate augmented reality and are inspired by traditional Emirati games. These experiences will be available throughout the opening period of the house’s doors.
To complete the enjoyment of the visit, the “Erth” Café has been designed to provide visitors with a space to relax and taste food and drinks inspired by Emirati cuisine, providing a welcoming environment that combines modern services with ancient traditions.
Upon leaving the UAE Olympic House, visitors will pass by the shop (the place of memories), where they can purchase gifts inspired by the UAE’s heritage to immortalise its rich historical and modern stories.
These products are also offered by Font, a store specialising in traditional Emirati crafts, such as palm frond weaving with a modern twist.
The UAE Olympic House is located in the heart of the French capital, Paris, on Cambon Street, near the Place de la Concorde, where events are held in the urban park. It is open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm throughout the Olympic Games.
