The UAE team wins the Dubai Silver Polo Cup

The Emirates team won the 2023 Dubai Silver Cup Polo Championship, after defeating the “AM” team, 10 to 9, in the final match that brought them together at the Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club and Resort the day before yesterday. The tournament was held as part of the Dubai Gold Cup series, in its 13th edition, in which 5 teams participated in the 20-gole Handicap for the first time.

In the consolation cup match, the Habtoor Evza team defeated its rival, Dubai Wolves Cafu, 7 to 6, after a strong and exciting match. Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE team leader, praised the organization of the tournament and the technical level, especially for the two teams competing for the title in the final. She emphasized that the UAE team participates in all polo tournaments with the aim of achieving victory, which supports the team’s chances of winning the Dubai Gold Cup.

Her Highness expressed her pride in the performance of the “AM” team led by Sheikha Alia Al Maktoum, whose level is developing year after year, and thanked the Emirates Polo Federation and the “Al Habtoor” organizing committee for their tireless efforts that contributed to the success of the event. For his part, Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor, President of the Emirates Polo Federation, expressed his happiness with the success of the tournament, and congratulated Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Emirates team for winning the championship cup, as well as its competitor, the “AM” team, praising the wonderful performance of the two teams in Final.
