The UK has banned all direct flights from Qatar

Muscat: The UK has banned all direct flights from Qatar. The ban comes as part of efforts to curb rising Kovid cases. On Monday evening, British officials added Qatar to the country’s red list.

This includes a temporary ban on direct flights from Qatar to the UK. The new rule will take effect on March 19. Only British citizens and residents are allowed to enter. They all have to get to the hotel.

Previously, tourists from Qatar were allowed to travel to the UK but all travelers arriving there were subject to compulsory quarantine. Citizens and residents who wish to travel to the UK must make changes to their flight route by traveling through a European country or via Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. All of them have to follow quarantine policies.
